BI Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst Full Time

Exciting opportunity to work for this large, diverse top ASX listed global organisation in Melbourne who are currently seeking an experienced BI Analyst with a passion for data-driven insights and creative data visualisation. The BI Analyst will use commercial acumen and analytical skills to identify and address key business issues across the enterprise organisation to provide analytical insights that will contribute to positive outcomes. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage, make well founded recommendations and influence key stakeholders across the business to help build and implement fit for purpose reporting and analytics solutions that can be used to make strategic business decisions. The position is full time based in the South Eastern suburbs, offering a very competitive remuneration package, flexible working environment and a great company culture.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake data analysis for operational metric reporting requirements
• Be one of the primary architects and builders of processes between business data warehouse through to dashboard creation
• Overseeing the data warehouse, including the collection and utilisation of all data
• Engage with, educate and influence internal business stakeholders (at multiple levels in the business), providing expert advice on emerging technologies and benefits of data and reporting available
• Design, implement and enhance existing BI solutions across business enterprise .

In order to be considered for this role, you must have:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence Role
• Experience in interrogating multiple data sources (including data warehouses) to source data for reports
• Sound data analysis, modelling, problem solving and conceptual skills
• Expert database/SQL capabilities; advanced Excel skills
• Experience with visualization products such as, Power BI, Tableau, Amazon Quicksight or Qliksense
• Experience working with AWS and Redshift preferred or other similar cloud data warehouses
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
• Degree qualified or comparable experience in Information Technology or related discipline
