Day Rate: $600-$700 per day
Exciting opportunity for a Data Warehouse Administrator / Support Consultant to join a Leading Global Financial Technologies Company to help support an operational enterprise wide data warehouse team. Provide first level technical support on all applications used by the business
Field incoming help requests from end users (and technicians) via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.
Prioritize and schedule problems, escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician and/or team leaders as needed.
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the business to be able to give technical support when needed.
Monitor all the ETL jobs to make sure they are running as scheduled
Develop technical documentation
Prior experience supporting Data Warehouse function
Experience extracting data from SQL Databases
Any prior experience with Informatica or Cognos highly beneficial
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills: Able to communicate clearly and effectively and at the appropriate level with various types of people
Problem solving skills: Identifies the root causes and breaks the problem down into the key issues. Grasps new concepts and can see the problem in relation to the bigger picture. Generates multiple explanations and solutions.
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Software Development/Engineering, or Computer Science and/or other relevant disciplines
