Contract Business Analyst – Data and Analytics Portfolio of Projects – Long Term Program – Top ASX Listed Company

Role Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Business Analyst working as part of an existing project delivering a best in class enterprise wide cloud data solution for this top ASX Listed Global Organisation headquartered in the Melbourne CBD.  This is a multiyear program with a genuine opportunity for a long term contract engagement offering a competitive contract day rate, flexible working environment and a great company culture. The role will focus on working with key business stakeholders to capture business demand and requirements for change and support them through project delivery with a focus on multiple data sources across multiple business domains.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Supporting business stakeholders with scoping and business requirements

Planning and facilitating project workshops

Documenting business requirements/user stories

Collaborating with business to understand data flows within and across domains

Assisting Project Leads in developing project and change plans;

Supporting key business areas with business readiness planning

Updating process documentation

Knowledge and experience:

5 years + experience working as a Business Analyst

Prior experience working on data related projects

Track record of developing processes and analysing significant data sets in a commercial environment

Prior experience working on corporate systems projects

The competence to employ a variety of business analysis techniques and skills to effectively elicit customer requirements and needs

Business process mapping and Business process improvement

Facilitate effective and engaging workshops

Engage effectively with senior stakeholders

Ability to work in high paced, complex and diverse environments

Able to balance tactical and strategic priorities
