Splunk Consultant / Engineer required by a Top ASX Listed Company working on an existing enterprise-wide project within a collaborative team responsible for the architecture, engineering, management, and operations of large scale distributed Splunk environment. Splunk Consultant / Engineer will be required to assist a team of specialists in maintaining, designing, implementing and supporting the Splunk Infrastructure. This is a multiyear program with flexible working arrangements with the opportunity to work remotely or in their offices in Melbourne.
What you will be doing:
Supporting a team with full responsibility for the administration and monitoring of the Global Splunk Environment
Plan, deploy and document architecture components, monitoring & alerting setup, troubleshooting guides.
On boarding new data as well as new customers to Splunk.
Development of new applications, views, file and database lookups, dashboards, reports, alerts, data collection, scheduling of alerts and reports.
Create, configure, and manage summary-based reporting and data model acceleration and oversee strategies for improved performance
Work with Splunk team to establish priorities, deficits, and strategic goals for all aspects of team operations.
Key Skills required:
Proven operational experience with one or more Splunk products, methodologies and underpinning technologies.
A technology background with core experience of Splunk integration, configuration and deployment
Proven knowledge on Splunk Admin and Configuration, Monitoring, alerting & event analysis
Knowledge on various type of data on-boarding in Splunk
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills and capability to identify downstream implications
